Music Together® (0-5 years)
Weekly parent/child music and movement classes for families with children ages 0-5 years, through the Princeton University Center for Music & Young Children. This class uses instruments, puppets, and other fun props that allow families to explore music in new and creative ways. Includes songbook, DVD, and music. Come play awhile, get silly, and make music with us!
YOGA GRANDE (body positive plus-size yoga)
Set and achieve your health and wellness goals right now THIS spring in a safe and super supportive community of fellow yogis! The theme of this class is "Bloom where you are planted". The beauty of yoga is that it meets us on the mat wherever we are at. No more waiting for the perfect time or perfect weight because the perfect time to practice yoga is right now wherever you are in your life. We will introduce our beautiful bodies to some delicious breathwork, gentle modified poses for larger bodies, options for advanced poses for those who want more, and empowering vocalizing & sound healing. Whether you are on a weight loss journey, in recovery, a beginner, or an experienced yogi in a bigger body, this class is tailored to fit your needs and support you on your path. We will also share nutrition strategies and release old patterns and habits to make room for new SPRINGIER ones. All levels, ages, shapes, and sizes are welcome!
Sing, Dance, Act!!! (6-11 years)
Discover the joys of acting, singing, and dancing! These engaging afterschool group classes allow students to explore the performing arts in a fun and imaginative environment that builds confidence and lets their inner entertainer shine through. Students will focus on vocal warm-ups, proper singing and breathing techniques, characterization, overcoming nerves, and creative expression through movement and dance. There will be opportunities for performances throughout the class series as well as a final performance at the end. Tuition includes a private half-hour lesson ($45 value), rehearsal notebook, and learning materials. Class is 1hr.
Parent & Child Yoga (strong walkers - 3 yrs)
Partner with your toddler in simple animated poses, games, art, music and breathing exercises that help to strengthen coordination and build body awareness. We'll bark in downward dog, hiss in cobra pose and flutter our wings in butterfly, while we take a yoga journey that your child will never forget! This fun class provides key bonding methods between parent and child, while strengthening their growing muscles. Caregivers welcome. Class is 45 minutes.
This unique class combines yoga and play to get back in shape while strengthening the bond between you and your infant. Experience flowing asanas, challenging postures, and calming restorative time in a playful and safe environment for babies. Learn Baby Yoga exercises to strengthen growing muscles, aid in digestion, promote better sleeping patterns, and help your infant towards their next stage of development. Dads are welcome too! All levels. Class is 1 hour.
Strengthen the mind, body and spirit with a special focus on the core muscles of the abdomen, gluteus, legs, back and pelvis to maintain a strong and healthy body throughout pregnancy and early motherhood. Class includes yoga postures to address and relieve common discomforts of pregnancy and postpartum, as well as exercises to help maintain abdominal tone in a safe way and aid in minimizing or healing "diastasis recti" (separation of the abdominal muscles that may occur during pregnancy and/or delivery). The practice also includes relaxation and breathing techniques. This class is recommended for women at any stage of their pregnancy and 6 weeks after delivery and welcomes all levels. Group size is limited to ensure personalized attention. Class is 1hr.
